Thanks! Sounds like you and I were in the same boat. I was pretty stoked for this film (dig Robert Rodriguez) and I really really wanted to like it. Kinda sad when my bar is set so low for a series that "not terrible" becomes acceptable.

Agreed on the characters too. I forgot to mention Isabelle in my post, but they put a lot of effort into making her the most human of the group. She ends up with a little bit more character development as a result, but it's still not much, and certainly not enough to make us care.

What did you think about the ending?

Great review. I saw it last night. You hit on every single point I made with a friend who couldn't make it due to sickness.
I wanted to like this movie. It's better than AVP. But, not as good as the original. The story had potential. But, it was character development. Or lack there of, that did it in.

Ugh!! I'm so glad your injuries weren't worse, but so needless and so avoidable. Clearly the "fog a mirror" test isn't such a good measure of finding competent RTD drivers. Mend quickly and we'll co-gimp soon :)
